Compare our latest BMW cars to their competitors in South Bend

At Basney BMW, we're absolutely positive that our new BMW cars are the best of the best, the cream of the crop, and the toast of the town here in South Bend, Indiana. That being said, we know just how boastful that sounds, but when you've been selling luxury cars of the BMW brand's caliber for as long as we have, it's hard not to brag. That said, we wouldn't be so bold as to say that a BMW is the best car you can buy without some serious evidence to back it up, which is why we've compared our most popular new BMW models to their Audi competitors below.

BMW X3 vs. Audi Q5

  • Luggage Space With a Sports Activity Vehicle like the new BMW X3, you're bound to want to take a good road trip or two. Luckily, with h room for up to 28.7 cubic-feet of cargo behind its second row, the new BMW X3 easily accommodates suitcases, duffle bags, any outdoor gear you might want to tote along. By comparison, the new Audi Q5 falls short with just 25.1 cubic-feet of luggage space behind its second row.
  • sDrive or xDrive Whether you love the punchy acceleration of BMW sDrive rear-wheel drive, or the confidence and control of BMW xDrive all-wheel drive, the new BMW X3 affords you the luxury to choose between the two. By comparison, the new Audi Q5 comes standard with all-wheel drive, so there's no other option to turn to.
  • Infotainment Technology and the new BMW X3 pair seamlessly thanks to its recently updated BMW iDrive 6.0 infotainment system, which offers a broad 8.8-inch responsive touchscreen display and Apple CarPlay support. The new Audi Q5 also offers Apple CarPlay support, but does so through an inferior 7-inch standard display.

BMW X5 vs. Audi Q7

  • Acceleration A commitment to exhilarating performance has always been the BMW brand's claim to fame, and it's on full display with the new BMW X5. Capable of posting 0 to 60 mph sprint times as low as 4.6 seconds, the new BMW X5 certainly lives up to its Sports Activity Vehicle pedigree. Compare that with the new Audi Q7, which only manages about 5.7 seconds, and we think it's clear which of these two models is best off the line.
  • Ride Comfort We all know how rough the roads around the greater South Bend, IN area can be at times, and luckily, so does BMW. That's why the new BMW X5 comes standard with Adaptive Suspension Dampers to smooth out rough roadways and provide you with a more comfortable, relaxing drive. By comparison, you can get similar features on the new 2020 Audi Q7, but it'll cost quite a pretty penny to get the optional package it's included with.
  • Interior Versatility One of the best things about the BMW X5 is the fact that it comes with either five or seven-passenger seating configurations, so you can choose whether you need extra space for family and friends or a bit more room for luggage and day-to-day items. As for the new Audi Q7, it only offers a three-row interior configuration, making it the more inflexible of these two luxury vehicles.

BMW X7 vs. Audi Q8

  • Horsepower While both the new BMW X7 and Audi Q8 are impressively athletic luxury vehicles, it's clear which of these two has the performance edge. When properly equipped, the new BMW X7 can put out up to 456 horsepower with its available 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 engine and xDrive all-wheel drive, while Audi Q8 owners will be stuck with just 335 horsepower from its one standard engine.
  • Interior Comfort If you plan on spending a lot of time traveling around South Bend, IN with family and friends, then you'll appreciate the fact that the new BMW X7 comes standard with four-zone automatic climate control, making it easy for everyone to stay comfortable, whatever the weather may be. Opt for the new Audi Q7 and you'll be stuck with just three-zone automatic climate control, meaning rear seat passengers will have to compromise on a comfortable temperature.
  • Passenger Space With three rows of seating for up to seven passengers, the new BMW X7 is great for growing South Bend families, and even has enough head space in back to comfortably seat most adults. As for the new Audi Q8, it only has two rows of seating for up to five passengers, and unlike the BMW X5, there isn't even an option to add a third row if you need more passenger room.

BMW 530i vs. Audi A6

  • Safety Systems While both the new BMW 530i and Audi A6 feature industry standard safety features like forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning, only the new BMW 530i also features blind-spot warning with rear cross traffic alert standard.
  • Audio Whether you catch up on the latest news on your drive to work or love to stream your favorite playlists on longer road trips, you'll love the crisp sound quality of the standard 12-speaker HiFi sound system on the new BMW 530i. The 10-speaker system available on the new Audi A6 just can't measure up.
  • Headroom Are you a taller driver? If so, you'll want to choose the new BMW 530i, given that it offers more headroom up front than the Audi A6.
