2022 BMW X3
For the 2022 model year, the new BMW X3 features some notable updates, including refreshed styling inside and out. The 2022 X3 also has an updated interior with new technology and a larger center console. Some changes are also in store for the BMW's mechanical system, including a new turbo engine with six cylinders and a mild hybrid system for the first time.
Style
The BMW X3 now has a more contemporary appearance that includes sophisticated features such as adaptive LED headlights and auto-dimming mirrors. A power liftgate is also now standard on the 2022 X3. The BMW also has high-performance tires beginning with the second trim level and distinctive styling elements for trims beyond the base model. A panoramic sunroof is standard with the M40i model and above. Window shades are an optional feature for your BMW.
Interior and Design
A revamped interior in 2022 also brings some notable changes to the BMW X3. This year's BMW includes a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen interface. Navigation is also standard, and the sound system comes with 12 speakers, plus over-air software updates. A digital cluster display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel come with the second model and above. The second model also has smartphone integration and integrated navigation. Leather seats and a head-up display are included with the third X3 trim level and up, along with a wireless charging pad.
Performance
There are two engines available for the new X3. The base engine is a turbo four-cylinder that creates 248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The second engine, available on the M40i and up, is a six-cylinder engine capable of 382 horsepower and nearly 370 pound-feet of torque. Another powertrain option includes a mild hybrid system. The new sDrive 30i has rear-wheel drive, while the others have all-wheel drive.
