If you're considering a Mercedes-Benz, we've got the details and the comparison information you need to do your research and find the perfect BMW SAV or sedan.

BMW X3 vs. Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class

  • Ground clearance. While both compact crossovers are similar in width, height, and length, the BMW X3 has a higher ground clearance than the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. For your commute, this means better control when the going gets rough. Whether you regularly drive on unpaved and rugged dirt roads or you face rural roads that don't get plowed that often, the BMW, with its 8 inches of ground clearance, can handle everything you throw at it with ease.
  • Fuel economy. The BMW X3 averages 25 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 27 mpg combined. Meanwhile, the Mercedes-Benz is rated for 22 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and just 24 mpg combined.
  • Interior space. Despite their similar overall exterior measurements, the BMW X3 maximizes its interior space better than the GLC-Class. The BMW can hold 28.7 cubic feet of cargo with the seats in place, while the Mercedes-Benz only manages 19.5 cubic feet. Also, the X3 offers greater headroom and elbow room, increasing comfort for both you and your passengers.

BMW X5 vs. Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class

  • Standard power. The BMW X5 starts with a standard, turbocharged six-cylinder engine with 335 horsepower, and goes up from there on upper trims. The Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, on the other hand, starts with just 255-horsepower from a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It also offers upgrades further up the trim level list, but none are as powerful as the lineup of BMW engines.
  • Trim options and configurations. The GLE-Class SUV is available in just two trims and two engines. But, the BMW X5 lets drivers choose from a variety of options and gives a range of great choices that include three trim levels and three engines. Plus, it has something the GLE-Class can't compete with - a top-of-the-line M50i trim that delivers standard V8 power and a nice 523 horsepower rating.
  • Size and space. While both luxury SUVs are similarly sized, the BMW X5 offers more comfort for drivers and passengers, with a little more headroom and shoulder room than the Mercedes-Benz.

BMW X7 vs. Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class

  • Clearance and drivability. With nearly 9 inches of ground clearance, the BMW X7 can handle snowy day commutes and dirt roads better than the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, which only has 7.9 inches of ground clearance.
  • Passenger space. The BMW X7 is more comfortable on long and short road trips, thanks to a greater headroom and shoulder room on the inside. For example, the X7 has a generous 41.9 inches of headroom, while the GLS-Class has just 39.4 inches.
  • Efficiency. You'll be able to go further on tank of gas in the BMW X7 than the Mercedes-Benz, thanks to a slightly higher fuel economy and range rating. The X7 has an EPA rating of 20 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined. It also goes up to 548 miles on the highway per fill up. But the GLS-Class rates 19 mpg city, 23 mpg highway, and 21 mpg overall, with a highway range of 547 miles per tank of gas.

BMW 750i vs. Mercedes-Benz S560

  • Power and drivetrain. The BMW 750i sedan and the Mercedes-Benz S560 both have standard power from an impressive V8 engine. But the similarities end there, as the BMW delivers 523 horsepower and the S560 463 horsepower. Also, the BMW sedan has standard all-wheel drive, while on the S560 it's listed as an option you have to request.
  • Space and comfort. The BMW will be more comfortable for you and your passengers, thanks to a larger cabin. This includes more headroom in both the front and the backseats, and a lot more legroom for the rear, with 44.4 inches in the BMW backseat, compared to 34.1 inches in the Mercedes-Benz backseat.
  • Standard safety features. Both cars have a nice roster of advanced safety features that come standard. But the BMW has a handful more than the Mercedes-Benz, including parking sensors for the front and rear of the vehicle, a heads-up display, and low-speed automatic braking.
